The resiliency and excellence that women exhibit are remarkable. Despite the challenges they’ve faced throughout the centuries, they always find a way to achieve their goals.

In times past, women were seen as unfit to work, but after WWI and WWII, everything changed. While the men were on the battlefield, the women were at home making the bullets they’d need to survive.

When the war was over, soldiers expected to find their wives at home, but to their dismay, they were at the factory working for the family.

This was a crippling reality for many men and the sting of it translated into the labor force.

Men didn’t want women to work. It wasn’t illegal for women to work — the men in power just made it hard for them to get good jobs.

In the 21st Century, some of that stigma still remains. If you don’t think it’s true, then why aren’t there more female executives?

Colleges churn out thousands of educated women every year, but studies show that many women are overqualified for the job they have.

Despite all these challenges, women are still progressing. If your aim is to be the best in your field of work, these tips will help!

1.Get a female mentor

A mentor can help you grow quickly. Mentors are people who have the experience and success that you’re aiming to achieve.

Your mentor will show you how to avoid making the same mistakes they did and guide you to become the best version of yourself in your field.

A mentor also connects you to sought after professionals in your field. They can help you build relationships that can propel your business further.

2. Invest your money wisely

Every woman should aspire to get to a place where their money works for them. If you spend all your life working for money, then you’ll never truly enjoy living.

Finding the right business or person to invest in is critical. The better the investment, the greater the profits.

Making a good investment involves weighing the risks against the rewards. If you’re not diligent, you could mess things up. Don’t be afraid to seek advice from your mentor before investing.

3. Network with like-minded women in your field

Relationships take you further than money can. Relationships give a better ROI than money can.

While that ROI isn’t tangible, the favors it can bring you could position you for lifelong success.

People are more likely to do business with those they trust. This trust is fostered through networking.

Networking gives you access to resources and opportunities that aren’t available to everyone. So when you see that next mixer or social event flyer show up in your email or your socials, make an effort to attend!
